"A Shot of Harmony", 7"x9", Acrylic on Canvas

This is the second time that I've painted this little shot glass. It's so much fun painting glass, I love how it distorts every thing when you look through it. It's also the perfect size for this single Cosmos. I actually looked up the dictionary meaning of the word cosmos and it said: a complete, orderly, harmonious system..... hence the title.

I loved this little pewter jug when I saw it in an antique shop, I thought this big flamboyant Dahlia would look perfect in it! All sitting pretty once again on the princess dress.

While cleaning out my daughter's closet, I came across one of her "Princess dresses". I liked the pattern so much I decided to use it in this painting.

I've really enjoyed working on these last two paintings! Working smaller always feels foreign to me at first, but I'm liking the fact that they are a lot faster to finish.
